Labeling Semantics and Building a Bilingual Corpus Helps Remove Ambiguity in Vietnamese

An important task in natural language processing is semantic labeling, also known as semantic annotation (or semantic tagging), especially in natural language processing in bilingual
English and Vietnamese. In this study, we focus on exploring the concept and importance of semantic labeling in a bilingual context. Semantic labeling involves assigning meaningful labels or tags to words, phrases, or sentences based on their intended semantic interpretation, thereby, facilitating text comprehension and analysis by providing additional contextual information to the best possible machine learning models. In the English-Vietnamese bilingual domain, semantic labeling helps to bridge the language gap and allows the retrieval of multilingual information such as machine translation, sentiment analysis, automatic Q&A (a form of ChatGPT), and other natural language processing applications. In the experimental part, we achieved some encouraging results and created a semantically labeled bilingual corpus, which improves communication and language understanding capability by switching back and forth between two languages.
